Profile
I am a dancer, choreographer, and educator working at the intersection of movement, mythology, and mentorship — currently in my third season performing with Columbia Repertory Dance Company and my second year of MFA study in choreography.
I began my dance journey at sixteen as a high-school junior. What started as something new to try, dance quickly overtook even my love of music and band. After choosing dance as a career in my senior year, I earned my BA in Dance with a minor in Anthropology from Winthrop University, followed by a Master of Science in Education focused on the periodization of dance education for K–12 students.
As a collegiate dance educator, I hope to influence the ever-changing landscape of dance education and bring greater accessibility to dance for K–12 students and disadvantaged communities — giving wider audiences the access they may be missing due to limiting means. My current area of interest is the exploration, embodiment, and contemporanization of ancient mythology.
